Our goal is to provide you with the best and most accurate historical products so that you can do your best recreation of history. While that is extremely important to us, it is also important that we find the best and most environmentally friendly reproductions for you to use- because we care about our planet. So with that said, we were looking into toothbrushes, and realized the best route we could possibly go would be to make sure the toothbrush we offer is not only historically sound but also biodegradable.
 
 While some may prefer bone toothbrushes to wood, these bamboo ones are a great substitute. The reason being- not only is this toothbrush handle biodegradable, but because bamboo has such an amazing growth rate- its constant self-renewing ability means that deforestation is not necessary. So while we understand that historical men and women would not be brushing with bamboo- we do understand that it is the best wood choice for a sustainable planet. So you can be historical ( we have extant examples of wooden toothbrushes) and you can save the planet.
 
Included, is a toothbrush holder, also made from bamboo. These are perfect for traveling and your reenacting toilette. They will keep your toothbrush clean and dry. Check out the last photo. These can also be painted. It's a fun way to customize your very own toothbrush etui. 
An Etui is a small ornamental case for holding needles, cosmetics, and other articles. These were popular in the 18th century and while they usually had more toilette articles in them, this is still a really great idea. No one likes to have modern plastic toothbrush cases lying around in camp. Also for those who don't reenact, these are earth-friendly and the whole toothbrush and case us biodegradable. WIN-WIN
