Great for Warm Climates!

You asked and we listened, although this isn't a normal solid perfume, we think- after the learning curve- you will enjoy it just as much. We took our original 1889 Bay Rum recipe and converted it into a hard vegan solid perfume.

Unguents and different types of semi-solid perfumed products existed in various forms throughout history. The late 19th century ushered in a new modern perfumery movement with the introduction of synthetic scents and products, but don't worry our Bay Rum soild Perfume is only made with natural oils and infused herbs. For an original solid perfume recipe, instead of calling for beeswax, it called for paraffin- which was patented in 1850 and was one of those "new" ingredients that improved the lives of the Victorians. Instead of using paraffin, we used hard soy wax that has the density of paraffin. So this is best used in warm or hot climates or you can use it by heating it in a candle, the old-fashioned way.

Q: OK so how do you use our solid perfumes?
A: We suggest heating it up in your hands, a hot car, or with a candle ( See our video) and breaking that top layer. You can use a finger and apply it to the skin at the pulse points. You can also take a piece of cloth or a sponge and put some of this on and put it in your aromatherapy lockets. These are formulated for warmer climates. If you live in a colder climate, you will need to keep it warm in your pocket or in the sun on the dash of the car.

The Scent:
If you love the smell of clove, nutmeg, and spiced rum. When cold, it won't smell as strong as when it is warm or hot, so please keep that in mind.
