We are excited about these and are always hunting for historical items that we can reproduce and bring to you. We came across 3 Victorian hairpin packets with the original hairpins in them from 1883. So we reproduced them which allows you to be able to use them on your vanity or in your historical hairdressing kit. They come in 3 colors which were the original colors. YES, they had blond and bronze back then- how cool!.

Weight: We are considering these a semi-firm middle-weight. These are not the flimsy ones you get from the modern stores and they are not as firm as our 18th-century hairpins. They are slightly a bit less firm then our 18th Century hairpins, but much much firmer than the crappy modern ones available. These could be bent with finger force, but you really have to use a lot of strength to bend them. The only difference in these from the originals is that these have the protector ball on the end. I prefer the protector ball myself. I have some original hairpins that I still use without it and they can dig into my head if I'm not careful with placement. These won't.

Take a look at the first and last photos. The pins stuck into the paper are original.

How do you open these reproduced packets? You can carefully peel the side or you can open them from the top or bottom ( which is just folded). 20 hairpins per pack! Make sure to pick the right color in the drop-down menu!
