We took the original Lily Pomatum recipe from 1772 in our shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/189003378/a-lily-pomatum-for-wrinkles-1772-fine?ga_search_query=lily%2Bwrinkle&ref=shop_items_search_1&crt=1, and we added Myrrh to it. If you love Lily Pomatum and or our Cleopatra's Enamel, you will adore this limited edition. This thick pomatum combines some of the best essential oils for beautiful skin at any age.  
 
 
The original recipe's instructions from 1772 state:   "It should be applied every night, and not wiped off till the next morning."
 
NOTE:  This is a sticky product. It is meant to sit on the surface of your skin and slowly soak in, leaving your skin deeply hydrated and smooth. This pomatum can be used for the face, under the eyes, crow's feet, and so much more—any area of your body that needs super hydration. 
 
Directions: 
A little does a long way. Massage into skin and let soak in. This makes a beautiful and potent night cream as well. Try it and see!! It will leave your skin feeling softer and fuller, and the more you use it, the more you will see your fine lines diminish. 
 
 
Historically Myrrh was used for repelling insects and preventing sunburn. It was also used to maintain healthy skin, prevent skin aging, and soothe chapped or cracked skin, eczema, athlete's foot, wrinkles, and stretch marks.
It helps fade away scars and spots and thus is used to "whiten the skin." We have a recipe from 1722 that talks about using Myrrh as a secret to taking away wrinkles. " Heat an Iron Shovel red hot, throw on it some powder of Myrrh, and receive the smoke on your face, covering the head with a napkin to prevent it being dissipated. Repeat this operation three times, then heat the shovel again, when firey hor pour on it a mouthful of white wine. Receive the vapor of the wine also on your face and repeat it three times. Continue with this method every night and morning as long as you find occasion." 
 
Lily Oil is great for sensitive skin, and It has been proven to help treat wrinkles, dry skin, and spider veins. It is also recommended for use under the eye, treating burns, and preventing scar tissue formation. In addition, essential lily oil is used in aromatherapy to treat individuals suffering from depression and tends to help in creating a feeling of modesty, happiness, and a sense of security. Lily was also the main potent ingredient for the original 1772 recipe for a Pomatum for wrinkles, also found in our shop.
