Original Recipe
Eczema is a persistent inflammation of the skin's outer layer. The Affected areas are often itchy and appear as tiny, red, and shiny scales. We picked this recipe because we know many suffer from this, and if we can help using original receipts- we will.
We are excited to be offering this historical salve concoction. This came from a wonderful compilation of traditional and ancient recipes and practices used by the Roma peoples, also referred to historically by the name 'gypsies'. We don't have an exact date on this but suffice to say that it is an old but well-documented salve that was used by various Roma he-alers. The manuscript this recipe came from was titled "A collection of old and ancient Gypsy cures". This recipe didn't have names, but they described what the recipes were traditionally used for, so we had to give it a name. While we are aware that some take offense to the term, we hope this name provides insight into the Roma people's culture and shows the world their fantastic healing and herbal knowledge.
While we can't guarantee it will fix anything, we suggest you check the reviews, as they speak for themselves.
This salve is much like our much beloved early Scottish Hastings Ointment already in the shop.
You can rub this into the skin- if the area is very bad, we suggest you apply it liberally and leave it on your skin ( cover if needed) for as long as possible. For example, I have a wrist injury that occasionally swells, especially when lifting heavy porcelain and copper pots in the lab. So, I used it by applying and rubbing it into my swollen wrist. I kept reapplying as it soaked into the skin, and in the morning, it felt a lot better ( the pain was gone, and the swelling was almost gone). So this would be an excellent salve for Bruises, Swelling, Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea, and Dermatitis.
Directions: Apply a thin layer 3-4 times daily for 2- 3 weeks. We hear of customers receiving results in a week after applying it once a day, so directions vary. However, a little goes a long way.
