It reduces inflammation, aids skin regeneration, and helps relieve pain. It can also help to alleviate the itch from mosquito bites and soothe a red nose caused by colds and sniffles. Therefore, it's a versatile remedy to keep on hand. How to use: You would use it just for the areas needed. If you are using it on red areas or pimples, you can put it on before bed. This has been a work in progress for quite some time. To replicate this recipe as closely as possible, I had to familiarize myself with the history of the Balsam of Mecca. Let me tell you, it's long and confusing. After much research, I am really excited to finally present to you this Sultana Pomatum. It’s an incredible aid and works efficiently. A little goes a long way. Balms and pomatums made from Balsam of Mecca were among the most expensive commodities in the ancient world and were highly valued for their wound-healing properties. This drove prices sky high, and sometime in the 18th century, the plant was nearly extinct. However, they discovered another comparable substitute with the same healing properties—also from the same genus. We also added some beeswax.
